How to Redact Sensitive Information from a PDF

What is PDF Redaction?

Redaction permanently removes sensitive information by covering it with black boxes. Unlike highlighting, redacted content is irreversibly removed from the document.

How to Redact

  • Go to Redact PDF
  • Upload your PDF
  • Click and drag to draw black boxes over sensitive areas
  • Navigate between pages to redact each one
  • Click Process & Download

  • What to Redact

  • Social Security Numbers
  • Bank account details
  • Medical information
  • Personal addresses
  • Phone numbers
  • Confidential business data

  • Important: Redaction is Permanent

Once you process the PDF, the content under the black boxes is permanently removed. Always keep a copy of the original document.
